The New Year started with style and a dash of superstar swag outside the residence of Rajinikanth. Fans braved chilly weather to catch a glimpse of their favourite Thalaivar and the legendary actor did not disappoint. He showed up, greeted them, and extended new year wishes.
True to his unique style, Rajinikanth shared a special New Year greeting on social media. But this wasn’t just any greeting. It came straight from his blockbuster film ‘Muthu’.

While greeting fans is a yearly tradition, Rajinikanth’s festive streak continued recently with his birthday celebrations. On December 12, the actor marked another milestone surrounded by the ‘Jailer 2’ crew.
Sun Pictures, the production house for his upcoming action thriller, shared glimpses of the celebrations on X (formerly Twitter).
The video showed the superstar walking from his caravan to the cake-cutting venue, joined by director Nelson and core team members. In a touching gesture, Rajinikanth fed cake to the director before heading back to his caravan.
All eyes are now on ‘Jailer 2’, which promises high-octane action and Rajini’s signature style. Following the blockbuster success of the first film which amassed around Rs 650 crores at the box office expectations for the sequel are sky-high.
